Hi I'm Chris Watson, I am a non-professional photographer and web site designer. I have been interested in SLR photography for many years and now, living on the beach in Florida and, with an abundance of County and State Parks around me, I am provided with endless opportunities for marine and wildlife photography, the latter, being my number one passion.

My photography is also used to record the memories of family visits to us in Florida and our visits to family and other fascinating places around the world. Now I am retired it will hopefully see many more additions since travel (combined with photography and web site design) is one of our primary goals in retirement.

As far as web site design is concerned, I have always enjoyed coding of one kind or another, .xhtml .css .php and javascript are just different forms of coding but, with the additional benefit of being able to see the immediate, graphical impact of the code.

I started web site design to eliminate shipping CDs and e-mailing large files to friends and family and instead, to provide them with a simple means by which they can keep up with what we are doing and photographing, no matter where in the world we or they are located. It also provides a very convenient means by which we can archive and display our memories without creating bulky photograph albums which never get seen and usually end up gathering dust in the attic!

As word got out, family members and friends wanted their own web sites and, with an ever increasing range of subject matter I was photographing, I needed to split my original web site into several separate subject areas so these two activities have given me plenty of opportunity to learn and practise my coding skills. You can go to my other work (sometimes my photography and my site, sometimes others' photography/my site or my photography/others' site) by using the links on the right side of the Home page.

I hope you enjoy your visit, don‘t hesitate to e-mail me with any questions, comments, typos, etc. at this  E-mail address.
